About

Lauded for her “dramatic vignettes” (Washington Post) and a “poet’s gift for literate songwriting” (Glide Magazine) and hailed as “a songwriter capable of sharp introspection and character examination” (PopMatters), singer-songwriter Meghan Hayes’ otherworldly talent has been evident since her first musical endeavors in the early 2000s.

Drawing from a collection of life experiences few artists can lay claim to, Hayes has cultivated a sound that is more than just a showcase of her elite songwriting chops and pure, crystalline soprano voice. It is a genuine reflection of, and testament to, her artistic and personal perseverance, and defined by a fearless willingness to embrace her own vulnerability in exploring even the darkest, most challenging moments of her life.

Hayes has three critically-acclaimed albums to her name, including 2019’s Seen Enough Leavers, which was released with the help of a close-knit musical community in East Nashville and called “one of the best Americana albums in recent history” by Take Effect Reviews. A naturally gifted performer, she has played such legendary venues as The Bluebird Café, CBGBs and The Birchmere and has opened for, or shared stages with, some of the biggest names in country and rock, including Hal Ketchum, Tift Merritt, Freedy Johnston, Robbie Fulks and Ashley McBride.

Meghan Hayes has more stories to tell, and she’ll do just that in 2025 with the release of her first new music in more than five years.
